Fiction vs. Nonfiction:

Writing Realistic (Historical) Fiction

 

 

Group Expectation:

&                  Read over the literature assigned to your group.

&                  Find a piece of culture that is conveyed in both types of writing – the nonfiction and fiction – in the fiction, it may just be a picture!  If so, think about how that would be put into words.

&                  Chose someone to share and discuss the differences in presentation of information.

 

Writing Invitation #1:

! Chose an aspect of culture you are interested in.

! Write a paragraph of “just the facts”.

 

Writing Invitation #2:

! Think of an image or situation of the time period you studied and write a vignette, scene, or monologue (or any other form you like!  These are just suggestions) with the aspect you chose as a focus.
